John Bartrum, Royal Botanist to King George III, was the special guest at the October meeting of the Wayne Woods Garden Club. The charming and witty Mr. Bartram, also known as Kirk Brown, distinguished author, lecturer and dramatist, describes the evening at his JohnBartramLives web site.

June 2011 June Dinner |

We ended our 2010 - 2011 season with a wonderful dinner and tours of the Welkinweir Estate. Welkinweir is the home of the Green Valleys Association and consists of 197 acres with a 55 acre arboretum and a historic estate house. We welcomed Paula Elisio to our club and said goobye to Carlee Jolly, Kathleen Modine and Sophia Fooskas who are moving away. We will miss them! |

Members of the Community Gardening Committee brightened the borders of the Memory Garden with masses of Salvia and Dusty Miller.
The Junior Garden Club members created their own Community Garden between the Memory Garden and Roberts Elementary School. |

Members of the Junior Garden Club made a floral ice cream cup and May Day baskets to place on mailboxes in their neighborhoods.

December 2010 Holiday Party |

|
Our Holiday Party was held at the Corinthian Yacht Club whiich is located on the Delaware River waterfront in Essington PA. It is one of the oldest continuously operating yacht clubs in the country. We enjoyed drinks and hors d'oeurves and Martha Jones welcomed Martha Luchsinger into our club. |
