The Wayne Woods Junior Garden Club is open to children in grades Pre-K to 4. It now has 25 members and is still growing. Workshops devoted to crafts, horticulture and flower arranging, are held seven times each year, guided by Gwen Puglisi and Kim Lageman. Some recent projects included decorating pumpkins to look like cowboys and princesses, a dried flower arrangement for the fall, fresh floral arrangements for Valentine's Day, planting terrariums, making snow globes with silk flowers and designing wind chimes for their gardens. Projects this spring included a floral bowl of ice cream, May Day Baskets and a Junior Community Garden at Roberts Elementary School. The Club had many winning entries in the 2011 Flower Show at Longwood Gardens in September.
